Pegasus Leisure Group (PLG) is the hospitality arm of the Melbourne Racing Club, managing a growing network of 17 pubs, clubs and hospitality venues across Victoria.

What You'll Be Doing
Assisting with basic food preparation, including chopping, peeling and portioning ingredientWashing, sanitising and organising kitchen equipment,



utensils and work areasMaintaining high standards of cleanliness through daily and deep cleaning tasksSupporting chefs with kitchen operations and following instructions from senior kitchen staffPractising safe food handling and food preparation techniquesManaging rubbish disposal and maintaining a clean and organised work environmentRestocking fridges and ensuring kitchen supplies are readily availableIdentifying and reporting any safety hazards or compliance concerns
What We're Looking For
Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practicesPrevious experience in a large bistro, commercial kitchen, or high-volume hospitality environment advantageousAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentAbility to remain calm under pressure and prioritise tasks effectivelyPositive attitude and willingness to learnDo Food Safely Certificate, or willingness to obtain
