We are looking for reliable and motivated Packers to join our production team in Hallam on 6-month maximum term contracts.
This is a hands‐on role within a busy food manufacturing environment, supporting the packing, labelling and preparation of finished products to meet safety, quality and production standards.About the RoleManually packing finished products and stacking pallets safely and efficientlyUsing a walkie stacker, where requiredOperating carton sealers and taping machinesApplying labels and checking printed codes on packets and cartonsCompleting paperwork in line with site procedures and food safety requirementsMaintaining a clean, tidy and safe work area, including general housekeeping and cleaning dutiesAbout YouYou will be a good communicator, who is dependable, safety-focused and comfortable working in a fast‐paced production environment.
You will have good attention to detail, be able to follow instructions and procedures, and work well as part of a team.Hours of WorkDay shift: 6.00am – 2.06pmAfternoon shift: 2.00pm – *****pmNight shift: *****pm – 6.06amWeekend overtime may also be available.Preferred Skills and ExperiencePrevious production or packing experience on a production line, ideally within a food manufacturing environmentCertificate I in Food Processing, or similar,
would be highly regarded but is not essentialGood communication skills (both written and verbal)Understanding of workplace and food safety (HACCP)Physical RequirementsThis role is based in a food manufacturing environment.
Employees are required to wear PPE, including eyewear and hearing protection, and follow all safety, hygiene and quality procedures.
This is a physically active role and requires standing and walking on concrete floors, lifting and carrying up to 10kg, bending, twisting, reaching, gripping and regular neck movements.Candidates must be willing to complete a pre‐employment medical and provide evidence of their right to work.
