If you're passionate about making a difference and believe in the power of technology to transform lives, you'll feel right at home here.TITLE: RESEA SpecialistREPORTS TO: Deputy DirectorLOCATION: Deep East Texas Workforce Development AreaEMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time, Non-Exempt EmployeeCareer Team is looking to hire a RESEA Specialist to deliver Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment (RESEA) services to unemployment insurance (UI) claimants in the Deep East Texas Workforce Development Area.
The RESEA Specialist engages customers assigned to RESEA, ensures timely participation, delivers targeted reemployment services, reviews continued UI eligibility, and connects claimants to employment outcomes.
Work is performed under the supervision of the Deputy Director.Conduct RESEA orientations and individualized appointments with UI claimants assigned to the programReview and verify claimants' continued UI eligibility and work-search requirements, and report potential eligibility issues to the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC)Develop and review individualized reemployment plans with claimants based on their skills and occupational goalsAssess claimants' employment, skills, and training needs through interviewing and other methodsProvide labor market information and personalized job-search assistanceRefer claimants to reemployment services, training, and WIOA programs as appropriate, and follow up on those referralsEnsure timely participation and that claimants complete all required RESEA activities to maintain benefitsSchedule RESEA appointments, document participation in Work In Texas, and follow up on missed appointmentsMaintain accurate case files for each claimant, ensuring each file contains all required documentation and meets compliance requirementsMeet and/or exceed RESEA participation and performance targetsFollow all policies, procedures,
and regulations related to RESEA and eligibility documentationComplete all required reports within the data management systemParticipate in all staff-related events as required, including training, staff meetings, and individual supervisionApproach each day and task with a "ZAG" mindsetOther duties and projects as neededOther Job Duties: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.

The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.To Qualify For This Role, You Must Have:Bachelor's degree or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceKnowledge of the WIOA program, unemployment insurance, and other workforce program requirementsStrong communication skills and knowledge about community resourcesStrong analytical and problem‐solving skills, with the ability to make well‐thought‐out decisionsComputer literate with MS Word and Excel skills at a minimum, and the ability to learn specialized databases and software systemsAbility to work in a variety of settings with a culturally diverse customer base and be culturally sensitiveAbility to serve as a role model to customers and motivate them toward achieving goalsAbility to meet and/or exceed set goals and objectivesExcellent interpersonal, time management, customer service, organizational, and communication skills (oral and written)A demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast‐paced environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient,
and maintaining a high level of confidentialityA Valid Driver's LicenseAdditional Skills/Knowledge Career Team Would Love for This Role:Knowledge of the Deep East Texas region and its employers, community organizations, and workforce partnersBilingual or multilingualStrong multitasking abilities and a proactive approach to tasksExperience with Work In Texas or a similar case management systemTraining in trauma-informed care, evidence-based practice, and/or whole family servicesSalary is commensurate with education and experience.
