This role is critical in supporting safe, compassionate, lawful and person-centred access to Voluntary Assisted Dying services and is a key point of coordination for patients, families,
clinicians and external providers through the VAD pathway.About youTo be successful in this role you willpossess:CurrentNursingRegistrationwithAustralian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)The ability to workboth autonomously andas partof a diverse teamPreviousdemonstratedsenior clinical or leadership experienceinleading orworking in a multidisciplinary health care team engaging with multiple departments and stakeholdersEvidence of a commitment to excellence in the care ofpatientsat end of lifeExperience in liaising and communicatingsensitively and effectivelywith keyinternal and externalstakeholdersDemonstrated understanding of clinical governanceand patient-centred care.A current Victorian Drivers Licence.Desirable but not essential for performance in the positionClinical experience in palliative care, end-of-life care, advance care planning or managing clinical deteriorationA sound understanding of information technology including clinical systems and applications relevant to quality and risk management reporting or as required for the role.Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice) .
Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year.
