We work with the most disadvantaged in our community by providing over 200 services ranging from disability, aged care, homeless services, child and family care, counselling, employment, training and education, and health services.Our Vision is "Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can."The Therapeutic Specialists forms a multidisciplinary team that support the service delivery teams to achieve the best outcomes for each child/young personAssess and identify the therapeutic needs for individual child/young person in consultation with internal and external stakeholders in the intake, client matching and ongoing support planning processesDevelop,
deliver and support the implementation of therapeutic programs and support to suit each child/young person's needs and goalsProvide advice and training to the service delivery teams where appropriateReview effectiveness of therapeutic programs and plans and modify them as a child/young person's needs and goals changeCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve best outcomes for individual child/young personTertiary qualification in Psychology, Allied Heath or relevant equivalent and current registrationKnowledge and experience in the provision of assessment, consultation and therapeutic interventions for a broad range of vulnerable children or young peopleAbility to conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and formulate therapeutic, support and intervention plansUnderstanding of key risk factors and the effect of trauma on childhood developmentUnderstanding of the impact of grief and loss in children and young peopleExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsCurrent NSW Driver's Licence and a willingness to travel as requiredA current Working with Children Check and a satisfactory criminal history record checkExperience in working with children and young people in an accommodation settingAn understanding of the NDIS frameworkRemunerationSalary and employment conditions are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry (SCHADS) Award ****, Level 6.A vehicle allowance is availableYou will be able to access a range of benefits including:Study Assistance ProgramEmployee Assistance Program and Chaplaincy supportDiscounted private health insurance and home loan offersGenerous salary packagingFitness passport24 September ****Wesley Mission is a Christian organisation requiring all staff to affirm its values and Worker code of conduct.The suitable applicant will be subject to the relevant pre-employment checks for appointment to positions within Wesley Mission (including provision of a valid Working with Children Check clearance number).
