The successful applicant will maintain a strong presence within the home while supporting the operational, documentation and compliance requirements that underpin safe and high-quality care.About the RoleThe House Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the allocated home operates safely, consistently and effectively.This is a full-time, rostered position primarily worked Monday to Friday.
It involves a combination of morning and afternoon direct-care shifts, scheduled coordination and administration time, participation in an on-call arrangement and occasional weekend work.The role will initially be structured around approximately:Three days of rostered direct support, involving morning and/or afternoon shifts; andTwo days of house coordination and administration.This balance may change according to the needs of the young people, the home and the broader service.Key responsibilities include:Undertaking rostered direct-care shifts and remaining actively involved in the care of children and young peopleProviding day-to-day guidance and support to Therapeutic Youth Workers and Shift MentorsSupporting the consistent implementation of Care Plans, Behaviour Support Plans and Therapeutic PlansMonitoring the quality and completion of case notes, shift documentation and house recordsCoordinating day-to-day house administration and communicationMaintaining oversight of household requirements, petty cash, receipts and reconciliationsSupporting appointments,



activities, transport arrangements and other commitmentsMonitoring the safety, presentation and operational requirements of the homeSupporting incident response, escalation and post-incident processesIdentifying and appropriately escalating operational, staffing, safeguarding and compliance concernsSupporting the home to remain organised, compliant and audit-readyRoster and On-call RequirementsThis position will ordinarily be rostered across Monday to Friday.The roster will include a combination of morning and afternoon direct-care shifts, together with scheduled time for house coordination and administration.
This is not a standard Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm position.Occasional weekend work may be required based on the needs of the young people, the home and the broader service.The House Coordinator will also participate in a rotating on-call arrangement, providing escalation support outside ordinary working hours when rostered.Pay and ConditionsFull-time employment opportunityRemuneration in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award ****Applicable penalty rates and allowances, including on-call arrangements, in accordance with the SCHADS AwardWeekly payAbout YouYou are an experienced residential care practitioner who is ready to take greater responsibility for the operation of a home while remaining actively involved in frontline care.You are calm, organised and confident in providing guidance to others.
You understand that good residential care depends on consistent practice, solid documentation, clear communication and attention to the everyday details that keep a home operating safely.You are comfortable balancing competing priorities and know when to make a decision,
