Australian Shoulder Research Institute – Spring Hill QLDThis full time role will contribute to a growing research programme focused on orthopaedic clinical research, patient outcomes, scientific publications and statistical analysis.Qualifications & ExperienceA relevant Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Statistics, Biomedical Engineering, Biostatistics, Data Science, Mathematics or a related discipline.A PhD or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field is highly desirable.At least 1 year of relevant research, statistical analysis or data science experience.Experience with coding and programming languages such as R, Python,



MATLAB or Stata is highly desirable.Key responsibilitiesUse statistics and numerical methods to develop algorithms and perform computationsCommunicate with management and academic collaborators to design project and research studiesDevelop methods and collect patient data through surveys to generate analysis to be used for scientific publicationAnalyse, identify trends and interpret statistical results to report on surgery outcome, patient outcome, and help with data-driven decision makingUse your coding expertise to integrate and analyse large scale biomedical dataProvide statistical input on grant applications to the NHMRC, MRFF, AOA Research Foundation, and industry partners.Build and maintain reproducible analysis workflows in R, Python, Stata, or comparable statistical analysis tools.About usAustralian Shoulder Research Institute, a global leader in shoulder research and innovation.
