HomeCaring Pty Ltd is seeking an Accounts Receivable Assistant to join our Finance team in Parramatta, NSW.
This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in supporting the financial operations of our aged and disability support services.
As an Accounts Receivable Assistant, you will be responsible for managing client invoicing, payment processing, and maintaining accurate financial records.
This role is essential to ensuring smooth cash flow operations and supporting the delivery of quality care services to our clients across the community.Key responsibilitiesReconciling client accounts and investigating discrepanciesProcessing and recording client invoices and billing statements in accordance with company policies and proceduresRecording payments received and updating financial records within accounting systemsManaging accounts receivable records and maintaining accurate financial documentationCommunicating with clients regarding billing enquiries and payment arrangementsFollowing up on overdue accounts through telephone contact, email correspondence and written remindersAssisting with debt recovery procedures and maintaining relevant documentationReconciling client payments received and matching them against invoices and recordsPreparing aged receivables reports and payment remindersSupporting the Finance team with month-end reconciliation processesAssisting with the preparation of accounts receivable reports and ageing schedulesMaintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection requirementsLiaising with clients regarding billing inquiries, payment arrangements and account discrepanciesWhat we're looking forProcessing credit notes and adjustments where appropriateProven experience in accounts receivable, billing,
or a similar finance support roleStrong proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applicationsSupporting the finance team with general administrative tasks related to accounts receivable functionsEnsuring compliance with company financial policies and relevant regulatory requirementsExcellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlinesProven experience working in an accounts receivable or similar finance administration role, ideally within the community services, aged care or disability support sectorWhat we're looking forAttention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keepingProfessional communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work independently and as part of a cooperative teamHigh school diploma or equivalent qualification as a minimum; a certificate or diploma in accounting, bookkeeping or finance is preferredUnderstanding of aged and disability support services is advantageousCustomer service experience with the ability to handle enquiries professionally and tactfullyKnowledge of funding models relevant to aged and disability care services is preferredStrong proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly ExcelExcellent numeracy skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial dataStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skills,
