Clinical Nurse - Team Leader - Adult OutpatientsJob no: ******Work type: PermanentLocation: South BrisbaneCategories: Clinical Nursing/MidwiferyAbout the roleMater Hospital Brisbane is seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Nurse Team Leader to join our Planned Care - Adult Outpatient team on a permanent full-time basis based at our South Brisbane Campus.This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate registered nursing leader to combine advanced clinical expertise with operational leadership to drive exceptional patient outcomes and support high-performing teams.As a Clinical Nurse Team Leader, you'll play a key role in coordinating patient care, leading clinical excellence and supporting efficient service delivery.
Working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager and multidisciplinary teams, you'll help shape creative models of care while creating an environment that empowers teams to deliver safe, high-quality and patient-centred outcomes.Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Delivering advanced, evidence-based nursing care that supports exceptional patient outcomesCoordinating patient care and facilitating collaborative, multidisciplinary care planningConducting comprehensive patient assessments and implementing appropriate nursing interventionsLeading safe,
effective discharge planning and continuity of care initiativesActing as a clinical leader and role model to support excellence in practice and team performanceSupporting operational leadership and coordinating unit activities as delegated by the Nurse Unit ManagerManaging workloads and contributing to efficient use of clinical and operational resourcesSupporting service improvement initiatives and implementing innovative models of careDriving quality, safety and risk management activities to enhance patient experience and outcomesProviding mentorship, coaching and professional support to nursing and interdisciplinary team membersSupporting education initiatives and contributing to capability development across the teamBuilding collaborative relationships across clinical and operational stakeholders to achieve service goalsAbout youYou're an experienced clinician and confident leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
You thrive in a fast-paced environment, lead by example and enjoy supporting teams to achieve high-quality care.To be successful in this role, you will have:Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of AustraliaMinimum three years' experience within the relevant clinical specialtyDemonstrated leadership experience and ability to coordinate competing prioritiesStrong clinical judgement, problem-solving and communication skillsDesirable (or willingness to work towards):Postgraduate qualification in a relevant specialty or managementExperience or knowledge in patient surgical optimisation and theatre schedulingUnderstanding of Elective Surgery Services standards,
