This position would suit an engineer who enjoys working across temporary works, residential building design and commercial building projects.This is a hands-on role in a growing consultancy where your work will directly contribute to the development of the business and the team around you.The role offers plenty of room for growth and development,
including opportunities to further develop your engineering capability and progress toward chartership.The right candidate will be comfortable working in a small team environment, taking ownership of their work and operating semi-autonomously with support where required.ResponsibilitiesLead structural engineering design for residential homes and commercial buildingsTemporary works design for construction projectsManaging projects from concept through to constructionPreparation of engineering calculations and design documentationPreparation and review of drawings using Bluebeam and RevitDaily communication with clients, builders and project stakeholdersSite inspections and construction-phase support as requiredAssisting with the training and mentoring of graduates and design engineersWork closely with the Director on project delivery, design decisions, and technical directionReviewing designs and providing technical guidance to junior engineersQualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Civil or Structural EngineeringApprox 4-6 years' experience in structural engineeringExperience in temporary works, residential and/or commercial building designStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively as part of a teamSound understanding of Australian Standards and structural design principlesAustralian driver's licence, as site visits may be requiredPermanent working rights in AustraliaHow to ApplyPlease forward your resume and cover letter to:Please note that we are only accepting direct applications.
