Job DescriptionFull time, Casual/TemporaryHybrid1d ago , from Catholic Education Diocese of ParramattaWe're seeking a skilled Employment Relations Specialist to join our Employment Relations team on a temporary full time basis until September **** (parental leave contract).
In this dynamic and varied role, you will work closely with both our schools and Catholic Schools office employees, providing advice on all aspects of employment and industrial relations (ER/IR) across the employee lifecycle as required.This role will report directly to the Employment Relations Manager, and provides an outstanding opportunity to work in a busy and friendly team environment, delivering high standards and timely outcomes for our organisation.
This would suit an ER professional who enjoys being a trusted partner to the business, helping leaders navigate challenging and sensitive situations, and making a meaningful impact.We are working on a hybrid model with the flexibility of working 50% split between our Parramatta office and working from home.Key ResponsibilitiesPartnering with and supporting stakeholders by providing skilled ER/IR advice on a range of matters, including discrimination, harassment, bullying, employment terms and conditions, complaint management, policy interpretation and legislative interpretationManaging a caseload effectively involving a combination of procedural fairness principles, time management skills, prioritising tasks and attention to detail in drafting related documentationAddressing enquiries from, and working collaboratively with unions and employee representatives on Industrial Relations matters to minimise industrial disputesReviewing, developing and assisting in the implementation of existing and new P&C; policies, practices and programs to meet organisational needsAssisting with the Enterprise Agreement making process,
including the preparation of related documentation and resourcesCollaborating and working in partnership with internal P&C; teams on the development and implementation of P&C; projects and initiativesAbout youDegree qualified in HR or similar is preferredProven experience in a similar role, working within a complex organisation and building trusted relationshipsExceptional customer service and stakeholder management skillsExceptional written and verbal communication skills, and the confidence to negative challenging conversationsStrong planning, organising and multitasking skillsProven experience working with various HRIS platforms, preferably Success FactorsAn understanding of the Catholic Education System is preferred but not essentialCompetitive remuneration25% off school fees for your children enrolled in our schoolsSalary PackagingHybrid/Flexible working environment (50% office, 50% remote)Supportive CultureFitness passportThe OrganisationCSPD is committed to responding to the needs of all students.
