Bring your hospitality HR experience to a vibrant hotel environment where no two days are the same.We are seeking an experienced and hands-on HR Advisor to join a dynamic hotel venue on Queensland's stunning Sunshine Coast.
Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, you'll play an integral role in supporting the venue's people operations, working closely with department leaders and particularly the Food & Beverage Director.This is an ideal opportunity for an HR professional who understands the fast-paced nature of hospitality and enjoys being visible, approachable and involved in the day-to-day employee experience.THE ROLEWorking as part of the People & Culture team, you will provide practical HR support across a highly mobile and diverse hospitality workforce.Your responsibilities will include:Supporting the People & Culture Manager with day-to-day HR operations and employee mattersWorking collaboratively with the Food & Beverage Director and operational leadersProviding practical advice and support to managers and employeesManaging routine employee queries and workplace matters in a timely and professional mannerMaintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentationCoordinating payroll information and employee administration, ensuring deadlines are consistently metSupporting roster, payroll and workforce administration across busy operational departmentsCoordinating end-to-end recruitment for a variety of restaurant and bar positionsManaging recruitment administration, interviews, reference checks and new starter documentationDelivering a professional and welcoming onboarding experience for new employeesEnsuring new starters receive the appropriate induction, training and information required to succeed in their rolesAssisting with employee wellbeing initiatives and general People & Culture programsSupporting injury management and return-to-work processesHelping foster an inclusive,
positive and welcoming workplace cultureBuilding strong relationships with managers and employees across the venueABOUT YOUYou'll be a practical, people-focused HR professional who understands that hospitality operates at a different pace.
You enjoy being part of the action and can confidently balance employee needs, administration, recruitment and operational priorities.To succeed in this role, you will ideally bring:Previous HR, People & Culture or HR Advisory experience within hotels, restaurants, bars or the broader hospitality industryA strong understanding of hospitality operations and the challenges associated with a highly mobile and transient workforceFamiliarity with restaurant and F&B; operations, including rosters, payroll deadlines and changing workforce requirementsExperience coordinating end-to-end recruitment, ideally across high-volume operational rolesStrong HR administration and employee record management skillsAn understanding of onboarding, inductions and employee training processesExposure to employee wellbeing, injury management and return-to-work processes would be advantageousExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsStrong organisation and attention to detailThe ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving operational environmentA calm, responsive and solutions-focused approach when working under pressureWHY APPLYThis is an chance to build your HR career within a vibrant and dynamic hospitality environment while working alongside experienced operational and HR leaders.You'll have the chance to make a genuine impact on the employee experience, from attracting and welcoming new team members through to supporting employees throughout their journey with the venue.If you thrive in fast-paced hospitality environments, understand the realities of restaurant and hotel operations and enjoy being a trusted point of contact for employees and managers, we want to hear from you.
