EGroup Protective Services Group Pty Ltd is seeking a motivated and experienced Data Centre Security Officer to join our team in Brisbane.
This role provides security services to our valued client at a premium location and as a Data Centre Security Officer you will play a vital role in protecting the safety and assets of our customers.What you'll be doingCustomer Experience ManagementManage the end-to-end customer access experience.Administer the ticketing system, including approving, reviewing, and updating access requests (times, dates, contacts, scope of works, equipment movement forms, and more).
Manage delivery tickets, including receiving and dispatching items for multiple departments and customers.Assist with loading dock operations, including use of walkie stackers and pallet jacks.Review and validate access levels via the customer portal and grant access accordingly.Confirm induction status and issue inductions where required.Follow the Security Operations Manual to ensure compliant access control while maintaining a solid customer focus.Act as key holder for customer racks and provide access in line with the authorised access matrix.Support Facilities with staging room housekeeping, including rubbish removal.Complete monthly customer reporting (rack maps, power monitoring data, access logs, and more).
Manage inbound calls, including NOC overflow during business hours and all after-hours callsSystems ManagementMonitor CCTV systems to ensure cameras are operational, correctly positioned, and recordingLiaise with internal teams, operate and navigate key systems and identify and resolve system issuesCommunicate access procedures and requirements clearly via phone, email, intercom, and in person.Assess after hours calls and resolve without escalation where possible.




If an escalation is required evaluate the requirement and alert the correct department as per standard proceduresCreate and manage customer/contractor profiles, photo capture and card creation.Raise incident reports for any abnormalities or security concerns.Patrols & MonitoringConduct scheduled patrols (visual and physical) in line with site and customer requirements using QR patrol systems.Identify and report issues such as alarms, unusual smells, or abnormal equipment noise on customer or critical infrastructure and escalate appropriately.OH&S; Walk arounds & checklistsWhat we're looking forMinimum of 2+ years'experience in a similar roleNV1 clearance (Highly Desirable) or willing to obtainEmergency Management/Response ExperienceKnowledge of Fire Control Panels, Access Control and CCTV systemsAn understanding of WH&S; and the ability to identify & manage risksAbility to work in a team environmentVigilance, proactive and situational awarenessIntermediate level with Microsoft suite of products including outlook, word and excel desirableAbility to be able to communicate with multiple stakeholders across various backgroundsWhat we offerAt EGroup Protective Services Group, we value our employees and are committed to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment.
