We're looking for a casual Grounds & Maintenance Officer to support maintenance and grounds work currently being undertaken by contractors.Working closely with the Village Manager, you'll provide practical, hands-on support across the village, with responsibilities including:Lawn mowing, edging and general upkeep of gardens and outdoor areasGeneral handyman duties and minor maintenance around the villageIdentifying and reporting maintenance issues, hazards or repairs requiring further attentionKeeping tools, equipment, grounds and common areas safe,
tidy and well maintainedWorking collaboratively with the Village Manager, residents and contractors to keep the village running smoothlyWhat's in it for you?

No two days are exactly the same.You might start your day mowing and tidying the grounds, move on to a minor repair or handyman job, and then address something that's been identified around the village.You'll also be working around our residents each day, so we're looking for someone who's not only practical and comfortable getting their hands dirty, but also friendly, respectful and happy to lend a hand.Is this role right for you?
We're looking for someone practical, dependable and comfortable working independently.You'll ideally bring:Previous experience in groundskeeping, gardening, property maintenance, handyman work or another practical roleConfidence safely using common gardening equipment, tools and completing basic maintenance tasksGood practical judgement and a strong awareness of workplace health and safetyA reliable and self-motivated approach, with the ability to manage your workload independentlyA friendly, respectful manner and the ability to build positive relationships with residents and colleaguesIf you enjoy practical work, take pride in keeping properties looking their best and would like a casual role where your contribution makes a visible difference, we'd love to hear from you.
