This role requires someone who has exceptional public relations expertise —a team player who always thinks strategically, can see creative stories and bring them to life, provides counsel to leadership, and responds quickly to shifting priorities.In this role, you'll take on media relations, campaign strategy (including digital partnerships), content marketing, thought leadership development, and issues/crisis management in partnership with Marketing and PR/Communications colleagues and leadership.
Combining your business savvy and PR skills, you'll collaborate with professionals to help lead agile campaigns which will help our firm to grow.We're looking for someone to be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.Reporting to the Manager of Public Relations for Global Strategies, the PRL-Asia Pacific is part journalist, part storyteller, part strategic advisor, part campaign designer, part manager.
Some of the activities you'll focus your energy on include, but are not limited to:Media Relations & Reputation ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with media, industry influencers, associations, and other key stakeholders across Asia Pacific.Strategic Communications Counsel, PartnershipProvide strategic communications counsel to senior internal clients and marketing leaders, supporting business priorities, social media fluency, and media preparedness.Crisis Communications / Business ContinuityPartner with regional and business leaders to deliver crisis communications strategies, leadership training, and responsive issues management aligned with the Corporate Crisis Management Plan.Brand Support – Content Marketing & EditingChampion Stantec's brand voice by developing, advising on,



and editing content for external communications channels.Thought Leadership and Industry PositioningWork with marketing teams and technical experts to develop thought leadership content and support integrated campaigns for key audiences.Social Media & Digital StrategyAdvise on social and digital media strategy, support corporate channel standards, track industry conversations, and amplify strategic content through subject matter experts.External New Business PositioningSupport top pursuits by partnering with marketing, business development, and leadership teams to shape PR and marketing positioning for key projects and markets.Collaboration / BrainstormingCollaborate with PR and Digital team members to align priorities, share progress, and contribute ideas for stories, campaigns, and content strategies.Benchmarking & Campaign EvaluationUse measurement and analytics tools to track campaign performance, provide data-driven counsel, and refine activity to meet objectives.MentorshipSupport PR colleagues through mentoring, development opportunities, and exposure to growth experiences.Required ExperienceMinimum 7 years' experience in public relations, corporate communications, journalism, strategic communications, or agency environmentsBachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, English or marketingProven experience engaging/advising senior leadersDemonstrated success developing and executing integrated PR campaignsStrong issues and crisis communications experienceExperience working within professional services, infrastructure, engineering, environmental consulting, or related sectors is desirableTechnical CapabilitiesMedia relations and stakeholder engagementStrategic communications planningThought leadership developmentContent strategy and editorial leadershipSocial media and digital activationMeasurement,
