Greatland's core values of integrity, safety, teamwork, accountability, responsibility and results are at the heart of its sustainable operating culture.About the RoleIn this underground Mechanical Technician role you will operate and assist with maintenance of the Telfer Hoisting System, dewatering and associated Ore Handling Equipment and to comply with supervisor requests to assist with maintenance and operational requirements on an as needed basis with particular emphasis on company values, safety, environmental and statutory requirements.Roster: 8/6, FIFO from Perth.Key responsibilities:Comply with site safety policies, procedures, and standardsPerform maintenance activities in line with safety and operational requirementsConduct regular safety inspections and report hazards promptlyExecute preventative maintenance to required standardsIdentify equipment faults and raise work requests for corrective actionContribute to continuous improvement of maintenance strategiesComplete risk assessments (JSEAs)



for assigned tasksLead small teams on maintenance activities when requiredTroubleshoot and diagnose faults across critical Underground Fixed Plant equipment, including:Hoisting systems and associated infrastructureUnderground and surface ore handling conveyors, feeders and chutesUnderground crushing systems and associated equipmentDewatering systems, pumps and reticulation infrastructureSurface ventilation fans and underground ventilation equipmentSurface chiller systemsUnderground vent doors and associated mechanical componentsFixed plant hydraulic, pneumatic and lubrication systemsInterpret maintenance manuals, drawings, and documentationAbout YouMechanical trade qualification (with ~3 years' mining experience preferred)Basic SAP knowledgeExperience developing JSEAsHolds a current manual W.A. driver's license; HR license is advantageous but not required.Desirable:Elevating Work Platform (EWP) licenceOverhead Crane TicketTelehandler licenceCN (non-slewing mobile crane) license (Franna Ticket)Forklift licence (LF)About Telfer OperationsTelfer is a long-life gold-copper mine in the Paterson Province of Western Australia's East Pilbara region.
