Be Recruitment is seeking experienced Family Preservation Case Workers to join a newly established program with a respected Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation in Western Sydney.
This is an opportunity to help shape a current service from the outset while delivering culturally safe, trauma-informed support to Aboriginal children, young people and families.

About the role:
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team,
you will provide culturally responsive, strengths-based and trauma-informed case management.
Your work will support children and young people to remain safely with their families wherever possible.
Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering intensive family preservation case management
Completing family assessments, risk assessments and safety planning
Developing family-led case plans and reviewing progress
Undertaking home visits and providing community-based support
Working collaboratively with Family Support Workers and external stakeholders
Building trusted relationships with Aboriginal children, families and communities
Maintaining accurate, timely and high-quality case notes and documentation
About you:
You will bring:
Casework experience in family preservation, child protection, intensive family support or a related service
A sound understanding of trauma-informed practice, child protection and family-centred support
Strong communication, engagement and relationship-building skills
The ability to work respectfully and effectively with Aboriginal children, families and communities
A Diploma of Community Services or equivalent qualification, or significant relevant experience
