with approximately ***** hours per week available.Key Responsibilities and QualitiesThe successful applicant will be expected to:Replenish stock efficiently and maintain a high standard of shelf presentationManage stock rotation, use-by dates and general stock controlReceive, check and organise deliveriesOperate the checkout and provide friendly customer serviceFollow daily job lists and complete duties without constant remindersMaintain store cleanliness, organisation and presentationPrepare simple food during morning shifts, including operating a deep fryerFollow all food-safety and store proceduresSupport the management team with daily store operationsGuide and support other team members when requiredIdentify jobs that need to be done and take action without always waiting to be askedWe are looking for someone who:Has recent experience in an independent or community supermarketIs highly self-motivated, disciplined and dependableDemonstrates a robust work ethic and takes pride in their workWorks quickly and efficiently while maintaining a high standardIs punctual, responsible and able to work independentlyShows initiative and takes ownership of their responsibilitiesCommunicates confidently with customers and team membersHas good weekday availabilityHas food-handling or deep-fryer experience, preferablyPrevious supermarket supervisory, 2IC or management experience will be very highly regarded.Exact days, hours and hourly rate can be discussed based on the successful applicant's experience, availability and level of responsibility.
