We are working with an established and purpose-driven organisation seeking an Accountant who combines strong accounting fundamentals with a genuine interest in data, customer behaviour and commercial analysis.This is an excellent opportunity for an Accountant who enjoys month-end and financial reporting but wants a role that offers something different - using data and Power BI to identify trends, understand customer segments and provide meaningful insights to the business.The RoleWorking as part of the finance team, you will have a broad remit covering both traditional accounting and data-driven analysis.Your responsibilities will include:Month-end accounting and reportingBalance sheet reconciliationsPreparation and analysis of financial reportsSupporting budgeting and forecastingVariance analysis and investigationAssisting with year-end and audit requirementsDeveloping and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reportingAnalysing customer data to identify trends, behaviours and opportunitiesReviewing customer segmentation and loyaltyProviding analysis around customer activity,
retention and engagementCombining financial and operational data to provide meaningful commercial insightsWorking with stakeholders across the organisation to improve the quality and use of management informationIdentifying opportunities to improve and automate existing reportingAbout YouWe are particularly interested in speaking with Accountants who are naturally curious and enjoy working with data.You will ideally have:Previous experience in a Financial Accountant, Management Accountant or similar roleStrong month-end and financial reporting fundamentalsAdvanced Excel skillsExperience with Power BI, or a strong desire to further develop your Power BI capabilityAn interest in data analytics, customer behaviour and commercial insightsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsThe ability to interpret large amounts of information and communicate the key message clearlyA proactive mindset and an interest in improving and automating reportingCA/CPA qualification or studies would be highly regardedWhy Consider This Prospect?
