The primary objective of this role is to provide a high quality first point of contact for all GPs and patients.
The Medical Receptionist is required to provide a range of administration and support services to all clinicians and patients.
Key responsibilities Ensure all patients and clinicians are received in a friendly, prompt, and helpful manner, either face to face or over the phone Assess, allocate to triage, or escalation to clinicians if concerned about a patient on arrival, or a phone enquiry Take appropriate particulars and provide relevant information on bookings, appointments, doctor selection, allocations and waiting procedures Complete patients visit by collecting fees, issue receipts and completing allocations Maintain awareness of patient wait times and keep them informed of excessive wait time on or before arrival,



their progress in the queue and or offer alternatives where appropriate Ensure clinician appointment books are managed as per their requests Monitor the setting to ensure the medical clinic is safe and well presented Maintain a high level of accuracy when recording and maintaining patient, clinic, and service information About you Relevant experience in reception, office administration or customer service role Working with Children's Check Intermediate level of computer literacy Moderate IT skills including basic computer setup, networking, and medical practice software Ability to communicate effectively; convey information, provide direction and instruction, negotiate agreement, and listen Easily build rapport and professional credibility Build strong working relationships built on trust and respect Empathetic and kind Responsive, solutions driven, resilient, collaborative, credible, and professional
