Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a critical role in managing credit risk, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining strong customer relationships.
This role requires a hands-on approach and a strategic mindset to balance risk with business growth opportunities.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, train, and motivate the credit control team (four direct reports);Assess the creditworthiness of customers,



conducting thorough financial evaluations;Determine and manage customer credit limits to balance risk and sales opportunities;Oversee collections processes, including follow-ups on overdue accounts and negotiation of payment plans;Manage direct debit arrangements and monthly charge processes;Liaise with credit insurers and brokers to manage risk and reporting requirements;Monitor and analyse key credit metrics to improve processes and reduce overdue balances;Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices;Negotiate payment terms and credit agreements with customers.Skills & ExperienceProven experience leading a credit control team in a fast-paced environment;Solid understanding of credit risk assessment and collections management;Experience with high-volume, low-margin B2B transactions is highly desirable;Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills;Proficiency in financial analysis and credit reporting;Strong leadership and team management abilities.
