Medical Laboratory Technician - MicrobiologyEmployment Type:VariousPosition Classification:Technical Officer Grade 1/2Remuneration:$***** - $***** per hour plus superannuationRequisition ID:REQ******Location: Lismore Base HospitalApplications Close: 9 September *********:59pmAbout the opportunityNSW Health Pathology are seeking Technical Officers to join the Microbiology team at Lismore Base HospitalMicrobiology is a key department of any Pathology Laboratory and by joining our dynamic team, you will be working in one of the largest regional laboratories in the state, servicing Lismore Base Hospital and the Northern Rivers Community.Lismore Base Hospital is a regional referral hospital providing a wide range of health services to residents in Northern NSW.The region of Lismore and the Richmond Valley on the far North Coast of NSW offers something for everyone -from nature lovers to foodies.
Lismore is only a short drive to Byron Bay, Lennox Head and Ballina to the east and the funky village of Nimbin to the west.
The local area has everything from magnificent national parks, waterfalls and rainforest walks to some of the most beautiful beaches on the east coast of Australia.
So, if you're looking for a lifestyle, sea or tree change this could be the job for you.What you'll be doingIn the position you will be performing microbiological specific diagnostic investigations, technical and scientific tasks using established methods and procedures.

problem solving and analytical skills including an ability to apply established principles in a pathology laboratory and investigate and resolve general and complex issues within the laboratory environmentCommitment to the principles of quality management and continuous quality improvement and to identify, develop and implement quality and service improvement activitiesMore principles and policies are being established to support hiring managers identify AI formed responses.
