South East Queensland Hauliers (SEQH) is looking for someone who is organised, proactive and enjoys working in a busy environment to join our team as an Operations Coordinator.You'll receive a full handover from the current person in the role, with training and support provided while you learn our processes.No customs or biosecurity experience is required.We understand that not everyone will have experience in this exact type of role.
We're looking for transferable skills and the right attitude from people who have worked in transport, logistics, scheduling, administration, customer service, warehouse operations, freight, shipping or other busy environments where they have managed multiple tasks, deadlines and people.Your Day-to-DayThis is a busy coordination role where no two days are the same.You'll help keep containers and cargo moving by coordinating requirements, communicating with customers and suppliers, following up outstanding jobs and working closely with our transport, warehouse and wash bay teams.You could be arranging an inspection, following up a clearance, speaking with a customer about their container and coordinating with another team — all while keeping track of your other priorities.You'll need to be comfortable staying organised, communicating with different people and managing changing priorities throughout the day.What's Involved?
Your role will involve coordinating the customs and biosecurity requirements of incoming containers and cargo,



including:Coordinating biosecurity inspections and requirementsOrganising container inspections and unpackingCoordinating customs clearance requirementsLiaising with customs brokers and freight forwardersOrganising container washing and fumigationFollowing up documentation and clearancesKeeping customers updated on container statusCoordinating with transport, warehouse and wash bay teamsMaintaining accurate records and systemsFollowing up issues to keep containers movingYou won't be expected to know all of this when you start — we will train you.About YouWe're looking for someone who is:Solid spoken and written English is essential for this roleMust have unrestricted working rights in Australia.
