Metropolitan Memorial Parks – Frenchs Forest NSWWe uphold the values of understanding, honour and respect in everything we do, providing welcoming, well-maintained spaces and quality service to the families and communities we support.About the roleThis is a hands-on outdoor role with a robust focus on grounds maintenance, including mowing, edging, general landscape maintenance and operating grounds equipment.We are particularly interested in candidates who have previous experience in grounds maintenance, parks and gardens, landscaping, turf maintenance or a similar outdoor environment.You will also support burial operations and funeral services, with training provided in cemetery-specific duties.Responsibilities include:Mowing, edging and maintaining lawns and cemetery groundsOperating ride-on mowers and hand-operated grounds equipmentGeneral grounds, garden and landscape maintenanceUndertaking burial activities including grave preparation,



digging and final presentationPreparing burial and funeral service areasIdentifying cemetery sections and grave locationsAssisting with funeral services as requiredCommunicating respectfully with Funeral Directors, families and visitorsMaintaining a strong focus on health, safety and presentation standardsWe are looking for someone who:Has previous grounds maintenance, mowing, landscaping, parks and gardens or similar experienceIs confident operating ride-on mowers, whipper snippers, blowers and other grounds maintenance equipmentHas a strong work ethic and takes pride in maintaining grounds to a high standardWorks well as part of a small team and can complete tasks within required timeframesIs comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditionsHolds a current NSW Driver LicenceHolds a White Card, or is willing to obtain oneHas an LR, MR or HR licence and/or excavator or backhoe experience — highly regarded but not essentialPrevious cemetery or burial experience is not essential.
