Meriton offers sales, leasing and property management services, as well as the luxury hotel accommodation brand Meriton Suites with 23 locations nationwide.We are currently seeking experienced Finishing Labourers to join our team at Surfers Paradise high-rise residential apartments construction project.We are looking for practical, reliable and hardworking people who have a strong background in painting, patching, repairs and general construction maintenance and take pride in delivering a high-quality finish.About the RoleAs a Finishing Labourer, you will be responsible for assisting with the final stages of construction works, including:Painting and touch-up worksPatching walls,



ceilings and other surfacesGeneral repairsPlasterboard and minor finishing worksPreparing surfaces for painting and finishingSilicone and sealant worksGeneral defect rectificationCleaning and preparing areas for handoverAssisting trades and site teams as requiredMaintaining a clean, secure and organised work areaAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will ideally have:Previous experience in a finishing, maintenance or construction labouring rolePractical experience with painting and patchingExperience completing defects, touch-ups and general repairsGood understanding of construction sites and site safety requirementsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong attention to detail and pride in your workmanshipReliable attendance and a positive attitudeGood communication skillsWhite CardRelevant tickets/licences will be highly regardedWhat We OfferConsistent work across a range of projectsCompetitive rates of payOpportunities for ongoing employmentSupportive site teams and managementVariety of work across construction and maintenance projectsOpportunity to develop your skills and take on additional responsibilities
