This is a full-time, workshop-based position working Monday to Friday, with overtime available.
You will work alongside qualified tradespeople, providing practical assistance with workshop activities, equipment preparation and general labouring duties.This is a excellent opportunity for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys hands‐on work and wants to develop their experience in a supportive workshop environment.Key responsibilities:Assisting qualified tradespeople with workshop activities, maintenance and repairsPerforming general labouring and technical support tasks under supervisionPreparing, cleaning and organising tools, parts, equipment and work areasCollecting and distributing parts, supplies, equipment and stores as directedMaintaining company vehicles,



tools and equipment in a clean and serviceable conditionCompleting job cards, timesheets and required safety documentation accuratelyConducting pre‐start checks and following safe work proceduresIdentifying and reporting hazards, incidents, near misses and equipment defectsMaintaining a clean, safe and organised workshopPerforming other duties within your skills and capabilities to support the workshop teamTo be successful in this role, you will have:Good mechanical aptitude and an interest in machinery or equipmentPrevious experience in a heavy fabrication workshop, with blasting and painting experience although this is not essentialA current Class C driver's licenceA strong commitment to workplace health and safetyA reliable, organised and proactive approach to workThe ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a teamThe ability to work independently when requiredA willingness to learn and undertake further trainingEWP ticketConfined space ticketWhat we can offer you:A permanent, full-time workshop-based positionA varied role within a busy workshopOpportunities to develop your skills and progress within a growing businessCompetitive payPlenty of overtimeSalary sacrificing options including novated leasingShopping discounts at over 1,000 retailersIf you are mechanically minded, dependable and ready to contribute to a busy workshop team, we would love to hear from you.
