We're seeking an experienced Social Media & Content Officer to develop engaging content, manage social media channels, and deliver impactful digital communications that keep the community informed and connected.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and grow Council's social media presence across multiple platforms
- Develop and deliver social media strategies and digital campaigns
- Create engaging written, video and visual content
- Manage website and intranet content
- Monitor trends, community sentiment and social media performance
- Provide communications advice and support across the organisation
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualification in journalism, media, communications, web content or similar
- Experience managing social media for a medium to large organisation
- Solid writing, editing and content creation skills
- Experience developing communication or social media strategies
- Ability to manage competing priorities and build strong stakeholder relationships
- Experience with website content management and digital communications
Desirable
- Local government experience
- Knowledge of SEO, accessibility and online content best practice
- Speech or media writing experience
