Lead Draftsperson - HVAC & Mechanical Services.

POSITION

A Lead Draftsperson - HVAC position is now available.

- Oversee and coordinate all drafting operations across commercial HVAC and mechanical services projects.
- Lead, manage and develop a team of in-house draftspersons and contractors.
- Review and approve mechanical services drawings, layouts and technical documentation for accuracy and compliance with Australian Standards.
- Manage drafting workloads, project priorities and resource allocation across the team.
- Coordinate drafting requirements with engineers, project managers, contractors and consultants.
- Identify and resolve drafting discrepancies, coordination clashes and technical issues as they arise.
- Monitor drafting performance, deadlines and project outcomes - attending weekly coordination and technical meetings.




- Drive continuous improvement across drafting systems, software and operational processes.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- Proven experience in a senior or lead drafting role within commercial HVAC or mechanical services
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical design, HVAC systems and Australian Standards
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit or similar drafting software
- Demonstrated experience managing drafting teams, workloads and documentation control
- Strong ability to identify and resolve technical coordination issues and clashes
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines
- Strong communication skills - comfortable liaising across engineers, contractors and project managers
- Relevant trade or engineering qualifications highly regarded
