Hours and roster
You'll enjoy a wide range of flexibility in this role, working in a fully supportive team that works together to ensure the work is completed to a high standard.

- Full-time role, Monday to Friday
- Approximately 38 hours per week
The role
Reporting into the Payroll Team Leader and Payroll Manager, you'll enjoy working closely with a team of 4. Duties and responsibilities in the role will include:
- Processing up to 900 timesheets on the on week and 400 timesheets on the off week
- End to end processing of weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls
- Maintain and update payroll master data (as advised via PIR)
- Liaise with employees and managers to resolve payroll related queries
- Perform payroll administration tasks, including onboarding new starters and processing leave forms
- Calculate and process termination payments
- Process salary increases and calculate back pay adjustments
- Complete required payroll reporting, both routine and ad hoc
- Calculate annual leave and long service leave provisions and accruals
- Review payroll reports and resolve discrepancies to ensure accuracy prior to releasing bank files
- Interpret awards and enterprise agreements, including overtime and allowances
- Perform redundancy calculations
- Respond promptly to a wide range of payroll enquiries from employees and the business
Your value
You will come from a background working in a Payroll Officer role for a medium to large scale business. You will also showcase the following attributes:
- 2+ recent years in a Payroll Officer role
- Experience in a role where you've processed 500+ timesheets per week
- Demonstrated business maturity and professional judgement
- Strong computer literacy with the ability to learn new systems quickly
- High attention to detail with a strong process-driven approach
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels
- Ability to interpret legislation and Australian workplace agreements confidently
- Excellent organisational, communication, and planning capabilities
