The Role
We are keen to connect with Emergency Medicine Registrars interested in joining a regional referral hospital that offers broad clinical exposure, hands-on experience and a supportive training environment. This position provides the opportunity to manage a diverse range of emergency presentations while working closely with experienced FACEMs and multidisciplinary teams.

As a key referral centre for the surrounding region, the Emergency Department manages a wide spectrum of medical, surgical, paediatric and trauma presentations. Registrars benefit from progressive clinical responsibility with direct consultant supervision, making it an excellent setting to further develop emergency medicine skills.

The Hospital
This regional referral hospital is the principal acute healthcare provider for South Australia's south-east and surrounding cross-border communities.

- Regional referral Emergency Department managing a broad and diverse case mix.
- Serves a large regional and rural catchment with exposure to undifferentiated emergency presentations.

Training & Development
Training is a key strength of this position, providing excellent exposure for registrars pursuing Emergency Medicine.
Confirmed opportunities include:

- ACEM accredited Non-Major Referral Emergency Department for 12 months of Emergency Medicine training.
- Accredited for the ACEM Paediatric Logbook/Paediatric Emergency Requirement.
- Accredited for TS4 training.
- Regional training experience offering significant hands-on clinical exposure across a broad spectrum of emergency presentations.
- Consultant-led supervision with opportunities to develop procedural and resuscitation skills.

Requirements

- Eligible for registration with AHPRA.
- Appropriate postgraduate Emergency Medicine or acute care experience.
- Interest in or enrolment with ACEM is desirable.
