The Role
We are working closely with a major regional referral hospital in New South Wales to connect with Emergency Medicine Registrars seeking a supportive, high volume training environment.

Join a modern Emergency Department managing more than 54,000 presentations annually, providing exposure to a broad spectrum of emergency medicine including acute medical and surgical presentations, trauma, paediatrics and procedural work. Registrars work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team with direct consultant supervision and a strong emphasis on education, feedback and professional development.

The Hospital
This purpose built regional referral hospital is one of the newest facilities within Hunter New England Local Health District and is affiliated with the University of Newcastle.

Training & Development
Training is a key strength of this position.

- ACEM accredited
- Weekly network teaching
- Regular simulation training, including trauma, paediatric and high-fidelity scenarios
- Dedicated Primary, Written and OSCE examination support
- Opportunities for network rotations including ICU, retrieval medicine and other specialty terms
- Access to special skills terms such as ultrasound, education and retrieval across the Hunter New England network
- Close consultant supervision with an established education program

Requirements

- Eligible for registration with AHPRA
- Demonstrated Emergency Medicine experience appropriate to Registrar level
- Eligible for or participating in ACEM training (where applicable)
- International Medical Graduates assessed as partially or substantially comparable are encouraged to make contact
- Ability to provide professional references
