Macquarie Hospital is seeking an exceptional pharmacy leader to join our clinical leadership team as Chief Pharmacist (Pharmacist Grade 5).

What you'll be doing
As Chief Pharmacist, you will:

- Provide strategic leadership and management of pharmacy services across Macquarie Hospital.
- Lead a high-performing team committed to delivering safe, effective, and consumer-centred care.
- Oversee medication safety programs and ensure compliance with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
- Drive formulary management, clinical governance, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Manage pharmaceutical expenditure and support sustainable service delivery.
- Contribute to organisational planning, innovation, and service development.
- Foster partnerships with clinicians, consumers, carers, and key stakeholders to improve clinical outcomes.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

- Current registration as a pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (or eligible for immediate registration).
- Extensive experience in hospital pharmacy practice in a major teaching hospital.

Demonstrated leadership in promoting safety, quality improvement and best practice.
