ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting directly to the Group CFO based in Melbourne, you’ll take responsibility for all financial reporting responsibilities locally in Brisbane.

This is a hands on role offering genuine autonomy. You’ll be trusted to work independently, take ownership of the numbers and become the key finance contact for the local business, while still having direct access to an experienced CFO.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Ownership of month-end and financial reporting
- Management reporting, budgeting and forecasting
- Cash flow management and financial planning
- Maintaining financial controls and compliance
- Providing analysis and commercial insights to management
- Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and reporting
- Partnering with the Group CFO on broader finance initiatives

ABOUT YOU

You’ve built the foundations and now you’re looking for the next step in your career.

You aren’t necessarily someone who has spent years as a Financial Controller but you are someone who is capable of becoming one.

You could currently be a Senior Accountant, Finance Manager,



Assistant Financial Controller or recently appointed Financial Controller who is ready for more ownership, exposure and responsibility.

You’re technically solid, commercially minded and confident working independently. You want to understand the broader business, influence decisions and build the experience required to progress into senior finance leadership. Most importantly, you’re ambitious.

You’ll bring:

- CPA or CA qualification
- Strong commercial accounting experience
- Solid financial and management reporting capability
- Experience across budgeting, forecasting and month-end
- Ability to operate independently and take ownership
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Commercial curiosity and a willingness to look beyond the numbers
- Initiative, organisation and attention to detail
- A genuine ambition to progress towards CFO level responsibility
