The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity is available for a Consultant Cardiologist to join a well-established regional service delivering comprehensive cardiac care across a diverse patient population. This role offers a broad scope of practice including outpatient clinics, inpatient consults, and non-invasive diagnostics, with opportunities to develop subspecialty interests.
You will be involved in the management of a wide range of cardiac conditions including ischaemic heart disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, and preventative cardiology. There is scope to contribute to services such as echocardiography, stress testing, Holter monitoring, and cardiac rehabilitation, with potential involvement in outreach and telehealth services.
The role offers a balance of clinical autonomy and team-based care, with opportunities to contribute to service development, teaching, and quality improvement initiatives.

Cardiology services are supported by well-equipped diagnostic units, experienced nursing staff, and access to visiting or networked tertiary services for interventional support where required.

Requirements

- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) with subspecialty training in Cardiology
- Eligibility for specialist registration with AHPRA
- Experience in non-invasive cardiology (interests in subspecialty areas welcomed)
- Commitment to patient-centred care and multidisciplinary collaboration
- Interest in teaching, service development, and regional healthcare delivery
