Senior Psychologist: $128,933.00 - $139,712.00 per annum

Occupational Therapist or Social Worker Level 4: $131,585.00 - $134,775.00 per annum

Nurse Unit Manager Level 2: $150,816.93 per annum

The Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District Alcohol and Other Drugs service offers free, non-judgmental services and treatments for drug and/or alcohol use, including information and support for families. Our service offers specialist drug and alcohol doctors, nurses and allied health staff who respect the client's right to choose from a range of treatments offered with our services underpinned by a philosophy of harm reduction.

Are you a passionate and experienced leader looking to make a lasting impact on the lives of young people? The Nepean Adolescent Service is seeking a Team Leader (Youth Drug & Alcohol) to play a pivotal role in the operational leadership, service development, and ongoing growth of community-based youth drug and alcohol services across the district.

In this rewarding leadership position, you will provide frontline operational management and support to a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care to young people experiencing drug and alcohol concerns. You will foster a culture of professional development and clinical excellence by ensuring clinicians engage in regular clinical supervision and review sessions,



while also promoting best practice clinical service delivery.

A key focus of the role is driving innovation and service development. You will lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of current programs and models of care, enhancing the accessibility and effectiveness of community-based youth drug and alcohol services. Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, you will strengthen referral pathways between Drug & Alcohol Services and a broad network of youth service providers across the NBMLHD region, ensuring young people can access the support they need when they need it.

What you will bring to the role * Tertiary qualifications and professional registration/membership as follows: (a) Occupational Therapy - minimum Bachelor Degree and general registration with AHPRA; or (b)



Social Work - minimum Bachelor Degree and eligibility for membership of AASW; or (c) Senior Psychologist - a four year degree in psychology and general registration with AHPRA; or (d) Clinical/Forensic Psychologist - Masters of Doctoral degree in Clinical or Forensic Psychology, full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia and endorsement or working towards endorsement as a clinical or forensic psychologist (as appropriate to postgraduate qualification); or (e) Nursing - Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)

- Demonstrated understanding and extensive knowledge of evidence based drug and alcohol interventions
- Demonstrated understanding and extensive knowledge of current principles, policies and practices of health service delivery relevant to the areas of drug and alcohol and youth health
- Extensive clinical experience working in a drug and alcohol and/or youth health setting
- Demonstrated experience including the ability to work collaboratively with young people when developing and reviewing care plans, conflict resolutions skills, advocacy and negotiation skills and escalation of issues to line managers
- Demonstrated extensive experience in frontline leadership and management including developing and implementing programs and new services within timeframes, establishing referral pathways, communicating effectively with a range of service providers, promoting system change and delivering outcomes
- Demonstrated experience with using advanced reasoning skills including the preparation of high quality written and oral reports. This includes experience with using patient based electronic record systems and office based computer applications
- Current drivers license and the willingness to travel for work purposes
