- Looking for a Registered Psychiatric Nurse (Grade 3) to Work in a state of the art purpose built Youth Justice Centre
- Youth Justice Centre based between Geelong and Werribee
- Permanent Part Time 16 hours per fortnight, five weeks annual leave and salary packaging

About the Role

Join the Cherry Creek Primary Health Service as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 3 and provide vital mental health and alcohol and other drugs (AOD) care to young people in custody.

Working within a state-of-the-art, purpose-built health facility, you will deliver recovery-oriented assessment, treatment and ongoing care while supporting positive health outcomes for young people.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver mental health and AOD assessment, treatment and continuing care to young people
- Provide harm reduction education and deliver AOD programs to individuals and groups
- Develop care plans and coordinate referrals and support, including transition planning on release
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to trauma-informed, recovery-oriented care and service development

What We're Looking For

- Registration as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse with AHPRA and eligibility for Grade 3 classification
- Demonstrated clinical experience supporting young people with mental health and AOD concerns
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- A commitment to trauma-informed, recovery-oriented care and working collaboratively in a complex environment
