Seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join a busy Capital Works team delivering a diverse portfolio of civil and building infrastructure projects.
This is an excellent prospect for a construction or civil engineering professional to contribute to projects that enhance local community infrastructure while working within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Reporting to the Coordinator Capital Works, you will be responsible for managing projects from inception through to completion, ensuring delivery within agreed timelines, budgets and quality standards.
Working closely with contractors, consultants, service authorities and internal stakeholders, you will oversee the successful delivery of civil and building projects while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, standards and council requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage project delivery from planning through to handover.
- Coordinate procurement and contractor engagement activities.
- Review plans, specifications and consultant documentation.
- Supervise contractors and monitor project performance.
- Ensure works are delivered in accordance with contracts, specifications and legislative requirements.
- Assess and monitor SWMS, ITPs and site compliance documentation.
- Monitor project budgets, forecasts and expenditure.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings and provide project updates.
- Administer contractor claims, variations and payment certifications.
- Maintain accurate project records, reports and site documentation.

About You

- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Building Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Demonstrated experience delivering civil and/or building construction projects.




- Strong contract administration and contractor management experience.
- Sound knowledge of construction legislation, Occupational Health and Safety requirements, and environmental compliance.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules and stakeholder expectations.
- The ability to review technical drawings, specifications and construction documentation.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Construction Industry White Card.
- Current Victorian Driver's Licence.
