About the Team

The Graduate Research School holds an important place in UTS' ambitions, it is through the GRS that we:

- lead strategic planning, policy development and quality assurance in research education
- maintain an education and training program aimed at developing the skills of research students and their supervisors thereby lifting the quality of our program, enhancing the outcomes afforded to our staff and students and the increasing the opportunities that are created
- apply a pan-University approach to graduate researcher development for research students and supervisors working synergistically with the faculties to augment higher degree by research training and experience
- provide central management and oversight of all stages of research degree candidature; and
- enable a quality experience for research students and supervisors through provision of a range of services

About the Role

The Graduate Research Administrator is responsible for providing high-level expertise, administration and strategic support in the implementation and management of a sustainable graduate research degree programs covering areas such as candidature management, examinations, and graduation.

If successful in applying for this role, you will be responsible for:

- Working independently to provide candidature support to current enrolled HDR students.




- Providing strategic advice and insights to key stakeholders in relation to HDR candidature management
- Developing and implementing an optimum service provision setting for current students, ensuring regular and systematic reviews
- Developing a high level of expertise and knowledge of University and government policies, legislation and procedures related to HDR candidature management and providing training, support and high-level advice with that knowledge
- Identifying, developing and implementing improvements to administrative systems, forms, processes and procedures related to HDR student candidature matters
- Working collaboratively with Manager, Candidature towards the success of the team.
- Leading, managing and/or engaging on GRS-led projects that are key enablers of GRS strategy.

Remuneration & Benefits

Base Salary Range: $109,014 - $120,596pa (HEW 7)

This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a fixed term basis of 7 months.
