An established resources services business is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to take ownership of its finance function during a period of growth and change. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will work with a lean finance team and play a key role in strengthening financial control, cash flow visibility and reporting.

About the Role:
You will take responsibility for the day-to-day finance function and provide accurate, timely financial information to the CFO and broader management team. Your responsibilities will include:

- Ownership of month-end and management reporting
- Cash flow forecasting and working capital management
- Balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls
- Supporting year-end and audit requirements
- Managing and developing a small finance team
- Providing financial information to management and external financiers
- Improving finance processes, invoicing and systems
- Partnering with operational stakeholders across the business

The business currently operates on Xero, with future systems improvements also being considered.

About You:
You will be an experienced Financial Controller who is comfortable getting into the detail. Ideally, you will bring:





- Strong financial accounting and reporting experience
- Hands-on cash flow and month-end capability
- Experience within a lean finance team
- Strong financial controls and process improvement experience
- Confidence working with senior and operational stakeholders
- CA or CPA qualification will be highly regarded

Experience within resources, mining services, oil and gas, engineering or another operational environment would be advantageous.

- $150,000 to $165,000 + superannuation
- Brisbane CBD location
- Initial six-month contract with extension and permanency potential
