The Position
Haven Home Safe is seeking an experienced and values-driven Non-Executive Director to join its Board of Directors at an exciting and pivotal time in the organisation’s journey. As one of Victoria’s leading community housing and homelessness organisations, Haven Home Safe is committed to creating better futures through affordable housing, support services and meaningful community connection.
Guided by its ambitious Strategy 2040, the organisation is reimagining its role to respond to the evolving needs of communities and the changing housing and homelessness landscape across Victoria.
Looking towards 2040, Haven Home Safe is placing clients at the centre of its decision-making and investing in innovative housing and homelessness solutions that deliver lasting social impact. Through impactful housing and support, strategic partnerships and strengthened organisational capability, Haven Home Safe is committed to improving outcomes for vulnerable Victorians and building stronger, more connected communities.
Reporting to the Chair and working with a collaborative Board, this new Director will play a critical role in the governance and strategic stewardship of the organisation. This is a unique opportunity for accomplished leaders who are passionate about social impact, community outcomes and good governance. Board Directors will contribute their expertise, strategic insight and leadership to an organisation that is shaping the future of affordable housing and homelessness services across Victoria.
This is a paid Directorship that recognises the expertise that you bring to the Board.
The Organisation
Have Home Safe (HHS) is a leading provider of integrated homelessness and housing services, the only fully integrated agency in Australia. It was Victoria’s first registered affordable housing association and has become a dynamic and rapidly growing organisation. It is a Charity with DGR status, committed to the communities in which it operates.
HHS has a reputation for excellence and provide a range of innovative support programs and property and tenancy management solutions to some of the more vulnerable people across much of the State. Our current portfolio consists of nearly 2500 owned and managed properties and we provide homeless service access and support to approximately 20,000 people.
