Are you a hands-on Management Accountant who enjoys taking ownership, partnering with operational stakeholders, and having genuine influence on business performance?
Hays is partnering with a well-established South Australian business operating within a manufacturing and distribution environment to recruit a Management Accountant. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this role offers a broad mix of financial control, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, treasury, and project work.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant who enjoys being close to the operations of a business, improving processes, and providing the commercial insights that support decision-making. The role will also play a key part in a major ERP implementation and ongoing business improvement initiatives.

Your new role

- Owning month-end processes, reconciliations, journals, and general ledger integrity.
- Preparing management reports, KPI dashboards, forecasts, and financial analysis.
- Supporting budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and working capital management.
- Managing tax and statutory reporting including BAS, PAYG, payroll tax, and FBT.
- Supporting audit requirements and liaising with external advisors.
- Providing financial guidance and support to operational leaders across the business.
- Contributing to ERP implementation activities, reporting enhancements, and process improvement initiatives.
- Assisting with treasury activities, covenant reporting, insurance, and financial control





What you'll need to succeed

- CA or CPA qualification (or be nearing completion).
- Previous experience in a Management Accountant or Senior Finance role.
- Strong month-end reporting and financial control experience.
- Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and management reporting.
- Experience within manufacturing, distribution, FMCG, construction, industrial, or similarly operational environments.
- Strong understanding of Australian taxation and compliance requirements.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with BI reporting tools.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner with stakeholders across operations and finance.
- A proactive mindset and a desire to drive continuous improvement.
