Key responsibilities
- Review repair orders and plan refinishing requirements
- Prepare vehicle panels and components for painting, including sanding, masking and surface preparation
- Mix and match paint using automated paint mixing systems and manufacturer formulas
- Apply primers, basecoats and clear coats to OEM and manufacturer specifications
- Operate spray-painting equipment and perform refinishing work to a high standard
- Carry out paint rectification, polishing and final finish work as required
- Work closely with the body repair department to ensure efficient workflow and vehicle throughput
- Conduct quality checks to ensure colour match, finish quality and customer satisfaction
- Clean and maintain paint booths, equipment, ventilation systems and PPE
- Complete paperwork accurately and follow workshop safety standards
