About the role:
The Manager, RTO Compliance and Administration, is responsible for the effective administration of all aspects of Registered Training Organisation (RTO) compliance operations focusing on quality learning materials and outcomes, target growth of the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and compliance with Australian Skills Quality Authority’s (ASQA) Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015, and MTC and Training and Safety Solutions (TSS) contractual obligations across operations and all training and assessment activities in the delivery of accredited courses and units of competency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in safeguarding the company by ensuring TSS is compliant with legislation, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards affecting the business, this includes all RTO standards and auditing requirements.
- Monitor and ensure RTO compliance throughout TSS, address non-compliance issues in a timely manner, develop improvement plans and monitor improvement. This includes compliance with any ASQA, Quality Management (ISO accreditations), Environmental and Food Safety programs, Government and Operational procedures and processes, and Work Health & Safety requirements.
- Assist in ensuring all TSS training requirements are met for all contracts throughout the business.
- Manage/supervise the work and quality of work of direct reports, manage deficiencies appropriately and in a timely manner to ensure adequate performance and delivery on individual KPI targets.
- Implement professional and personal development opportunities for direct reports, as guided by the National Manager.
- Assist with RTO KPI achievement and work with stakeholders to deliver government and company initiatives including but not limited to rehabilitation and reintegration, development, enhancement, and reduction in recidivism.
- Provide the TSS compliance and administration team with direction, support and leadership as required for the successful implementation and management of TSS compliance and administration activities.
- Ensure monthly accurate data entry of student enrolments, student results, student attendance and AQTF quality Indicators.
- Ensure data reported is accurate and consistent with actual training delivery and supported by evidence of participation.
- Ensure the correct funding source code has been utilised when setting up courses in the SMS and LMS.
- Ensure the review and sign off of all student files in line with TSS compliance, finalised results are to have been entered and the student file, along with the certificate is checked, signed off as complete and the certificate issued within 21 days of student completion.
Key experience:
- Certificate IV TAE40116 Certificate IV Training and Assessment or its replacement or a Certificate IV in RTO Compliance (or higher)
or significant RTO compliance and administration experience will be considered if formal qualifications are not held.
- Demonstrated compliance experience and understanding of the Australian Skills Quality Authority, training packaging requirements, Australian Vocational Education and Training Management Information Statistical Standard (AVETMISS) and experience with RTO continuous improvement processes.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Vocational Education and Training (VET) systems and curriculum development requirements, Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) Standards, and Registered Training Organisation (RTO) requirements.
- High level communication skills including the ability to negotiate, influence and interact with all employees, stakeholders, and students.
- Demonstrated experience leading a compliance and administration team within an RTO setting.
- Demonstrated RTO compliance and administration experience meeting and maintaining requirements to meet RTO standards.
- Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a team.
