GKJ Group your light and diesel mechanic is a reputable and growing automotive workshop based in Adelaide, providing high-quality mechanical servicing and repairs to a wide range of vehicles. We are committed to excellence, safety, and customer satisfaction. Due to business growth, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic (General) to join our team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Detect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in engines and vehicle systems using diagnostic equipment

- Repair and replace worn and defective parts, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, and suspension components

- Carry out scheduled servicing and maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications

- Perform engine tuning, including adjustments to improve performance and fuel efficiency

- Conduct road tests to verify repairs and ensure vehicle safety and performance

- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used

- Ensure all work complies with workplace health and safety standards

Skills & Experience (Essential Criteria)





Applicants must have:

- A relevant qualification equivalent to Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology

- At least 2 years of full-time, relevant post-qualification work experience (preferred: 3+ years)

- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Valuable communication skills and attention to detail
