Talent Focus Education is partnering with a supportive, student-centred education provider in Brisbane’s South to recruit a passionate Secondary Teacher who wants to make a genuine difference.

This isn’t your typical classroom environment. You’ll be working with young people who may not have thrived in mainstream education and who need the right teacher, structure and support to help them reconnect with learning, build confidence and recognise what they’re capable of.

We’re open to teachers from a range of secondary backgrounds, including Mathematics, English, Science and general secondary teaching.

The Role

You’ll deliver engaging and accessible learning programs while supporting students with a wide range of learning needs, experiences and levels of engagement.

Relationship building is a big part of this position. You’ll create a classroom environment that is safe, consistent and inclusive, helping students feel respected and supported while encouraging them to re-engage with their education.

- Deliver secondary learning programs across your teaching area




- Adapt and differentiate lessons to suit individual learning needs
- Support students who may be disengaged, at risk or require additional support
- Build strong, respectful relationships with young people
- Support students with their confidence, wellbeing and engagement
- Work alongside teachers, support staff and youth-focused professionals
- Contribute to student pathways, personal development and future planning
- Bring consistency, positivity and structure to the classroom

About You

We’re looking for someone who understands that not every student learns in the same way.

You’ll be compassionate but confident, flexible but consistent, and genuinely motivated by helping young people succeed.
You will have:

- A relevant teaching qualification
- Current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration
- Secondary teaching experience
- Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
- A calm, adaptable and student-focused approach
- The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Experience working with disengaged young people, diverse learners, alternative education or students requiring additional support would be highly regarded
