ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking an accomplished Data Virtualisation Engineer (Denodo Platform) to integrate client in the energy sector. In this full time, hybrid position, you will operate as a core extension of the client's internal operations, driving end-to-end data virtualisation, platform administration, and security enhancements. You will be navigating a highly regulated, critical infrastructure landscape where precision and adherence to strict protocols are paramount. Due to the sensitive nature of this commercial environment, an active Baseline Security Clearance is a mandatory prerequisite prior to starting.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

- Architect and execute vendor-specific deployment frameworks seamlessly within the Denodo ecosystem.

- Engineer semantic layers and virtualised pipelines to efficiently serve data assets to downstream business consumers.

- Oversee the end-to-end administration, installation, and secure configuration of enterprise Denodo environments.

- Devise and enforce robust data security protocols, specifically focusing on data masking, attribute-based access control (ABAC), and role-based access control (RBAC).

- Construct and continuously fine-tune data models that accurately bridge technical capabilities with commercial objectives.

- Enhance query efficiency and view response times while actively participating in peer code evaluations and release cycles.

- Drive comprehensive testing phases, formulate targeted use cases,



and draft rigorous technical documentation.

- Facilitate smooth BAU operations by engineering and documenting operational workflows and deployment rollout strategies.

- Play a pivotal role in maintaining compliance by participating in routine platform audits and enforcing governance guardrails.

- A proven track record of autonomous, hands-on technical delivery utilizing the Denodo Platform.

- Official Denodo certifications are highly regarded and will give you a distinct advantage, though they are not strictly necessary.

- Advanced SQL proficiency paired with a demonstrated ability to transform complex commercial needs into logical, virtualised data models.

- Deep understanding of enterprise data platform security, particularly around access management and permission frameworks.

- Demonstrated expertise in system performance tuning, structured testing methodologies, and collaborative code review practices.

- Highly adaptable and comfortable operating within an Agile framework or embedded staff-augmentation setup, effectively taking direction from client project managers and backlogs.

- Exceptional ability to produce crisp, sustainable technical documentation and comprehensive handover materials for ongoing maintenance.

- A high comfort level operating in strictly regulated, compliance-heavy environments, backed by a strong grasp of foundational data governance principles.
