OPT Energy is seeking an experienced and highly qualified licensed plumber to join our team as a Compliance Manager for our hot-water and HVAC operations.

This is a hands-on leadership position combining compliance management, installer supervision, complaint resolution, recruitment and occasional installation or rectification work.

Key responsibilities

* Oversee compliance across hot-water and HVAC installations.

* Review installation photos, certificates and supporting documentation.

* Conduct onsite inspections and quality-control checks.

* Investigate and resolve customer complaints professionally.

* Complete installations, repairs and rectification work when required.

* Identify defects and ensure corrective work is completed properly.

* Monitor the workmanship and compliance of employees and subcontractors.

* Ensure installations comply with applicable Victorian regulations, Australian Standards, manufacturer requirements and program guidelines.

* Assist with recruiting, assessing and onboarding qualified plumbers and HVAC personnel.

* Verify licences, qualifications, insurance and practical capabilities.

* Train installers and establish consistent installation and compliance standards.

* Maintain accurate inspection, complaint and rectification records.

* Work closely with management to improve safety, quality and customer satisfaction.

Required qualifications and experience

* Current Victorian plumbing licence or registration covering the relevant work.





* Solid experience with heat-pump hot-water systems and associated plumbing work.

* Practical HVAC or reverse-cycle air-conditioning experience.

* Relevant HVAC, refrigeration or electrical qualifications and licences are highly regarded.

* Sound understanding of plumbing compliance, safety requirements and Australian Standards.

* Experience supervising installers or managing compliance and quality assurance.

* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

* Ability to manage customer complaints calmly and professionally.

* Current Victorian driver’s licence.

* Reliable vehicle suitable for attending inspections and jobs.

* Construction Induction Card/White Card.

* Strong written communication and record-keeping skills.
