Westgold is seeking a highly capable Senior Exploration Geologist to lead a high performing exploration team, laser focused on making Westgold's next major gold discovery across the Tier 1 Murchison gold belt.

At Westgold, we're redefining what exploration looks like. We have a dedicated, pure discovery team - no resource development drilling, no infill, no split focus. That work sits firmly with our Resource Development team.

Our Exploration team is free to do what Exploration Geologists do best - chase opportunity, think big, and search for the next major discovery across one of Australia's most prospective gold belts.

About the role:

- Generate and mature drill ready targets from regional to prospect scale
- Build and prioritise a quality exploration pipeline
- Integrate multidisciplinary datasets for target definition and ranking
- Oversee drilling programs and field execution
- Maintain QA/QC, data integrity and technical standards
- Lead team development, contractors and program delivery
- Ensure compliance with WHS, heritage and regulatory requirements
- Deliver technical interpretations, models and reporting

About you:





- Proven success in target generation and discovery focused exploration
- 10+ years in Archean gold systems, including regional/generative work
- Experience producing drill ready targets from integrated datasets
- Proficiency in QGIS/MapInfo and Leapfrog/Micromine
- Solid knowledge of WA regulations and JORC guidelines
- Geology degree; Schedule 26; WA manual licence
