We are looking for someone who can confidently manage routine HR matters with a high degree of organisation and independence.
Ideally, you will have:

- A sound understanding of Australian employment practices and the Fair Work framework.
- Working knowledge of the SCHADS Award and the ability to interpret Award provisions in practical situations.

employee records and employment lifecycle processes.
- Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, employment contracts, probation management and HR compliance.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines while working part time.
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
- A professional approach to confidentiality and sensitive employee matters.
- Positive Microsoft Office and HR systems capability.
- A current National Police Clearance, or the ability to obtain one.
Desirable
It would be advantageous if you also have:
- A qualification in Human Resources, Business, Management or a related discipline.
- Experience using Tanda or a similar HR/workforce management platform.
- Experience supporting payroll administration.
- Experience working within the community services, not-for-profit, crisis accommodation or Aboriginal community-controlled sector.
The opportunity
This role would suit an experienced HR professional looking for a meaningful part time, remote / hybrid position with genuine responsibility and variety.
You will work directly with senior management while remaining connected to operational teams, providing practical HR support and helping MBD strengthen its people systems, compliance and employee experience.
Approximately 3 days per week, with days and hours to be agreed based on operational requirements.
If you are an organised, approachable and practical HR qualified who enjoys making HR work effectively on the ground, we would love to hear from you.
