Who are we?

TT DINER in Archerfield is set up like an authentic American diner, boasting some of the best equipment and facilities available.

We currently service the area from 6:30am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday, providing quality food and great service to our customers.

TT DINER is a wholly owned subsidiary of TradeTools Pty Ltd and is conveniently located adjacent to the TradeTools Archerfield store.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Café/Kitchen All-Rounder to join our team.

Our main priority is finding someone with strong kitchen experience who can confidently handle food preparation, cooking and service. The successful applicant will also be required to cover our chef’s days off, leave and holidays, so confidence and competence in the kitchen are essential.

As we’re a small team, you’ll also need to be comfortable working across both the kitchen and front of house. POS, barista and customer service experience are important, along with a positive and reliable attitude.

The role will initially be approximately 3 days per week, with a 3-month probation period. For the right person, there is the intention to progress into a part-time position with additional hours.

We are also looking at expanding our trading hours,



including longer Friday nights and potentially opening Thursday and Saturday nights, which would create further opportunities for additional shifts.

Key Responsibilities

- Food preparation and cooking

- Confidently managing food service during busy periods

- Covering the chef’s days off, leave and holidays

- Maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness and presentation

- Front-of-house and customer service

- Taking orders and operating the POS system

- Preparing quality coffee and other beverages

- Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards

- Working effectively as part of a small team

- Assisting wherever required to keep the diner running smoothly

Key Requirements

The successful applicant will have:

- Strong commercial kitchen and food preparation experience

- Confidence cooking during busy service

- Experience working independently in a kitchen

- Front-of-house and POS experience

- Barista experience

- Excellent customer service skills

- Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene

- A reliable, positive and hardworking attitude

- Flexible availability

- Reliable transport
